The microphone has allowed one person's voice to be heard over millions. The microphone has the potential to share the passions of one individual to a large group, making revolutionary change. The volume given off, lends itself to the emotion in the speech more importantly than the specific words themselves (1). The microphone has given one person the ability to share their talents, their lives and their ideas with people over a larger area and with a larger number of people. Its ability to increase innovation through the changing of ideas lends itself to the modern revolution that we have learned about through David Christian (2). As it has evolved from the first model, so have the cultural, societal and political effects that accompany it.
